In the grocery store, while on a very low budget and a severe craving for potato chips, I went down the snack aisle to see what was the cheapest.
First, I checked the generic brand of potato chips... Those were nearly as expensive as the $3.99 bags of Lays potato chips! I continued my search, just looking at prices. I decided I'd only buy chips if I could find them for less than $3.
About to give up my search and go home with an unsatisfied craving, I saw a $2.79 price tag on the bottom shelf of the potato chip section. I bent down, and saw a box of Rhinelander Ripple Chips (a twin pack), 11 oz. That's more potato chips than in a bag of lays, for just over half the price.
I thought I'd try them, seeing the name Rhinelander and knowing that's a city near where I grow up. Turns out that I enjoy them much better than Wavy Lays or even Ruffles potato chips!

All in all, this was a great find while at the store, and is definitely a worth-while purchase. Next time you're in the stores craving something crunchy, definitely check out Rhinelander Ripple Chips. I can guarantee you'll enjoy them.

Anyone who HASN'T discovered Rhinelander potato chips is missing the boat.
ReplyDeleteI'm as (or more) budget conscious as anyone so always look for alternatives to the "high priced spreads" and I won't buy anything but Wisconsin potatoes if I can help it.
In a blindfolded taste test Rhinelander chips would rate as good as any others because they are that good.
WHAT did you do to your chips. You must of changed your brand of oil or changed your cook time or your oil temp. What used to be the best tasting chips are now just like the same old over cooked chip not worth buying
